What is InstaDP?

InstaDP is the common name for an Instagram DP (display picture) viewer and downloader. DPInsta is one — paste a username, get the full-size HD profile picture without logging in.

Is DPInsta the same as InstaDP?

Same idea, different name. People search for both. DPInsta is our brand; InstaDP describes what the tool does — pulls the Instagram DP at full size.

What does DP mean on Instagram?

Display picture — the round avatar next to a username. Instagram renders it at ~150px even though the original upload is much larger. InstaDP serves that original.

Can I view a private account's DP?

Yes. The profile picture is public metadata even for private accounts. Posts and stories stay locked, but the InstaDP lookup comes through.

Does the owner know I used InstaDP on them?

No. There's no view event tied to an InstaDP profile lookup. Nothing surfaces on their side.

What resolution will I get?

Whatever Instagram exposes for that profile. For modern uploads InstaDP usually returns 1080×1080. Older accounts may serve smaller.

Do I need to install anything?

No. InstaDP runs in the browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge — on phone or desktop.

Why did my InstaDP request fail?

Usually a typo in the username, or the account was renamed. The upstream lookup also gets rate-limited occasionally — wait a few seconds and retry.

Are there watermarks on the InstaDP download?

No. The file is byte-for-byte the image Instagram serves, just with a cleaner filename.
